Dear Greenpeace
You will never believe what I found in my back garden this morning. I found a baby giraffe lying on the grass. It had a broken leg so I ran to my room to get my first aid kit from under my bed. When I got back the baby giraffe was trying to stand. Before it could I had to put the bandage on. After that I got the biggest duvet I could find in the cupboard to wrap the baby giraffe up. Then I went to the kitchen to get the leftovers from last night and a bowl to put them in. After I went back to my back garden to feed the baby giraffe, then mum called me for tea so I kissed her goodnight.
The next morning I quickly got dressed so I could check on the baby giraffe then I heard mum call me to brush my teeth. I said,"Just a minute mum!" When I got outside I was so happy because that baby giraffe was standing up like a mama giraffe would do .I ran up to her and gave her a big hug so she almost fell down. Next I secretly got a bag of chips to share with the baby giraffe .I think I should name the giraffe Lu-Lu. What do you think?
Can you please send me some information about baby giraffes?
From Breanna
P.S. What can she play with?
I really like the way you have used precise words as it made your story very enjoyable to read and helped put a picture in my mind. I could imagine you carrying the 'biggest duvet'. I also like how you asked what they thought of your choice of name. Mrs W
